Senators OK State Medical Marijuana Protections, Rejecting Sessions

"A powerful Congressional committee delivered a strong rebuke to U.S.
Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Thursday, rejecting his request to
delete a provision that protects state medical marijuana laws from
federal interference."
"With a voice vote, the Senate Appropriations Committee added the rider
to legislation funding the Department of Justice for Fiscal Year 2018.
The policy has been in effect in every annual spending bill enacted
since late 2014." ...
