Pot - A cure for Alzheimers?

Possible Cannabis use to treat Alzheimer's Disease
 by Thinking Clearly

A recent study published in the journal Molecular and Cellular Neuroscience titled "Role of the cannabinoid system in the transit of beta-amyloid across the blood–brain barrier" has shown that cannabis has a role in the transport of beta-amyloid proteins across the blood brain barrier.

Amyloid beta (Aβ) is the main component of amyloid plaques which are deposits found in the brains of patients with Alzheimer's disease.

According to the study abstract:
" The current studies demonstrate, for the first time, a role for the cannabinoid system in the transit of Aβ across the BBB. These findings provide insight into the mechanism by which cannabinoid treatment reduces Aβ burden in the AD brain and offer additional evidence on the utility of this pathway as a treatment for AD."

Will we see pot being used to treat Alzheimers Disease? Is it a possible cure for Alzheimers?
Sounds like it to me.
